Fiescheralp
I spent a night in Fiescheralp, which is near the Grosser Aletschgletscher, the largest glacier in the alps. I'll just say it now, the pictures of the glacier do not do it justice. This is one of the most fascinating places I've ever been, and I would still be sitting next to the glacier right now if I didn't have real-life things to do.
There are too many things to do, and not enough time
Yes, paragliding is popular in Switzerland
The Matterhorn in the distance, and the foot of Grosser Aletschgletscher. Taken from the Eggishorn
It's a big glacier
The backs of Jungfrau, Moench, and the Eiger
Check it out, it's the jungfraujoch!
Up on a ski lift pole
Up closer to the glacier, with the Matterhorn in the background
Looking up-river
Check out those moraines
Nearing sunset. The Matterhorn is off to the right, and I believe the Monte Rosa Massif is in the center. Taken from my balcony
