I went to Snoqualmie Pass to climb Silver Peak with some friends last month. The trail starts out following the Pacific Crest Trail for a while, and traverses fairly levelly through the forest before climbing towards the peak. The top section is more exposed, and there is a bit of scrambling near the peak.
