Berner Oberland

These were pictures that I took in the Berner Oberland in Switzerland. I have ommitted pictures from the Schynige Platte - First hike, because those are already in this post.

Day 1

These first pictures were taken on my first day in the Berner Oberland, during which I went to Wengen, then did a hike from Maennlichen to Kleine Scheidegg. I stayed in a hostel in the Lauterbrunnen Valley the first time I was in the Berner Oberland, which was probably the most fun I had in any of the places I stayed at. I was able to make friends with several people, although surprisingly few were European (This was my hostel experience throughout the trip). Most people seemed to be from the United States or various places in Asia.

Day 2

These next pictures are taken from my second day in the Berner Oberland, during which I went to Trummelbach Falls, Gimmelwald, and Murren. It was rainy and cloudy for most of the day. The third day I did Schynige Platte to First, so those pictures are here.

The Trummelbach Falls are a series of waterfalls that drain a large area from the Jungfrau region

Gimmelwald. I felt like I was invading people's privacy, so I didn't spend much time there

Redux

I went back to the Berner Oberland with my family, and stayed in Wengen. We did hikes from Maennlichen to Kliene Scheidegg and the Eiger Trail, and the Schynige Platte to First hike. We also took a cable car up the Schilthorn.

We watched someone take off paragliding from the top of the Schilthorn

I want to try it sometime
